Privacy

In short: the only thing we can store about you is an email address or a Telegram handle, and only if you enter it yourself in the subscription form. Everything else stays in your browser.

Your answers to the quiz questions

While you are taking the quiz, your answers are held in your browser's sessionStorage — that store is cleared when you close the tab. Once the quiz is finished, the answers are encoded into the address of the results page: everything needed to display the result is contained in the link itself, and the result is calculated in your browser.

We do send the answers to the server once — and here is what happens to them. When the results page opens, your answers are stored on our side as a single anonymised record: twelve answers, the “this matters to me” marks and the date. That is all.

Nothing attached to that record points back to you. We do not store your IP address, your browser type, where you came from, a session identifier or the exact time — the date is rounded to the day. No cookies are set. Reopening the same results page does not create a new record.

Why we need this: to answer questions such as “how do those who support conscripting the Haredim feel about public transport on Shabbat”. Separate counters cannot answer that — whole records are required. This is the ordinary format for research data.

And, honestly, about the limits of this approach. Eleven questions with five options each give more than 240 million combinations, so your record is most likely one of a kind in the database. There is nothing to link it to you — it contains no address, no time and no device marker of any sort. But if someone were to find out separately exactly how you answered, they could locate your record among the rest. We consider this trade-off justified, and we say so plainly rather than hiding it in the small print.

The question “which party do you lean towards” on the results page is voluntary. It is asked only after the result has been shown, so nothing is withheld in exchange for it, and it can be skipped. The answer goes into the same anonymised record.

Subscriptions are kept in a separate table and are not linked to the answers by anything: no reference, no time, no record order. Even with full access to our database, a contact cannot be matched to a set of answers.

An important consequence follows: the link to your result contains your answers. If you send it to someone, that person will see how you answered. It is built this way so that the result is calculated in your browser and opens without any account.

localStorage is not used at all. Political views should not remain on disk after you have closed the tab.

Subscription to the news briefing

  • What we collect: a single contact — an email address or a Telegram handle. Nothing else: no name, no city, none of your quiz answers.
  • Why: to send you an analysis of the election news. This contact is not used for anything else and is not passed on to anyone.
  • How long we keep it: for as long as you are subscribed, and no longer than three months after the election on 27 October 2026. The list is then deleted in full.
  • How to unsubscribe: every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also write to naumkgr@gmail.com — we will delete your contact within one working day and confirm it.

Analytics

We measure traffic with Plausible — cookie-free analytics that builds no profiles and does not track people across sites. Google Analytics, social network pixels and retargeting are not used: a project about privacy cannot collect data the way advertising does.

Besides page views, two events are sent there: “quiz started” and “quiz completed”. The second carries the number of questions answered and which party came first. This is needed to understand at what point people abandon the quiz. Your answers to individual questions are not sent to analytics — they are stored only on our side, as described above.

What we will not do on principle

  • We do not consult the state voter register (פנקס הבוחרים) and do not work with government-held personal data at all.
  • We do not create user accounts and do not require registration.
  • We do not sell, pass on or trade contacts.
  • We do not install hidden pixels and do not run retargeting.

Material created with AI

The images and video on this site are not AI-generated. Should that change, we will label such material clearly — since 26 July 2026 Israeli law has required AI-generated content in election campaigning to be labelled.
